2021–22 Moldovan Cup
The 2021–22 Moldovan Cup ( ro, Cupa Moldovei) was the 31st season of the annual Moldovan football cup competition. The competition started on 17 August 2021 with the preliminary round and concluded with the final on 21 May 2022. Format and Schedule The preliminary round and the first two rounds proper are regionalised to reduce teams travel costs. Participating clubs The following teams qualified for the competition: Preliminary Round 10 clubs from the Divizia B entered this round. Teams that finished higher on the league in the previous season played their ties away. 16 clubs from the Divizia B received a bye for the preliminary round. FC Speranța Drochia
FC Speranța Drochia is a Moldovan football club based in Drochia. They play in the Moldovan Liga 1, the second tier of Moldovan football. History Founded in 1976, the club spent two seasons in the Soviet Second League, after which it played in the football championship of the Moldavian SSR. After Moldova's independence in 1991, Speranța played in the first three seasons of the Moldovan second tier, before the club was dissolved in 1996. In 2007, the club was revived as CS Drochia, playing in the third tier. In July 2016 the club returned to the old name Speranța Drochia, and in 2018 it was promoted to the second tier. In 2022, Speranța finished in 11th place out of 12 teams and were to be relegated back to the third tier. However, they kept their place in the league after another team, Iskra Rîbnița, were voluntarily relegated. The club was founded in 1980 as FC Cahul and after they changed their name and reformed in 2005, they now play in the Moldovan "A" Division, the second division in Moldovan football. Dacia Buiucani is a Moldovan football club from the Buiucani sector of Chișinău. The club competes in the Moldovan Super Liga, the first tier of Moldovan football. The academy of the club is called CSCT Buiucani. CSCT is an abbreviation for Sports Club for Children and Youth ( ro, Clubul Sportiv pentru Copii și Tineret).
