2021–22 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball team represented the Georgia Institute of Technology during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by sixth-year head coach Josh Pastner and played their home games at Hank McCamish Pavilion as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Yellow Jackets finished the season 12–20 overall and 5–15 in ACC play to finish in fourteenth place. As the fourteenth seed in the ACC tournament, they lost to Louisville in the first round. They were not invited to the NCAA tournament or the NIT. Previous season In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Yellow Jackets finished the 2021–21 season 17–9, 11–6 in ACC play to finish in fourth place. Josh Pastner
Joshua Paul Pastner (born September 26, 1977) is an American college basketball coach, and the current head coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Pastner was a player on the 1997 Arizona Wildcats men's basketball national championship team, and an assistant coach at the University of Arizona under Lute Olson and at the Memphis Tigers men's basketball, University of Memphis under John Calipari. He was named the 2013 ''Sporting News'' Conference USA Coach of the Year, and the 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year. The 2020–21 Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball team represented the University of Virginia during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Tony Bennett in his 12th year and played their home games at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia, as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Jose Alvarado (born April 12, 1998) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Moses Anthony Wright (born December 23, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
