2021–22 Fifty50 Challenge
The 2021–22 Fifty50 Challenge was the second edition of the Fifty50 Challenge, a 50-over women's cricket competition played in Zimbabwe. The tournament took place in February and March 2022, with four teams competing in a double round-robin group stage. Eagles won the competition, beating Rhinos in the final. The tournament was followed by the Women's T20 Cup. Competition format Teams played in a double round-robin in a group of four, therefore playing 6 matches overall. Matches were played using a one day format with 50 overs per side. The top two in the group advanced to the final. The group worked on a points system with positions being based on the total points. Points were awarded as follows: Win: 5 points. Zimbabwe Cricket
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. It also organises domestic cricket, including the Castle Logan Cup, the Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship and the Stanbic Bank 20 Series in Zimbabwe. Nomvelo Sibanda
Nomvelo Sibanda (born 21 November 1996) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who plays for the Zimbabwe women's national cricket team as a left-arm medium bowler. She has previously played for Kei. In January 2019, Sibanda was named in Zimbabwe's Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) squad for their five-match series against Namibia. Duckworth–Lewis–Stern Method
The Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method (DLS) is a mathematical formulation designed to calculate the target score (number of runs needed to win) for the team batting second in a limited overs cricket match interrupted by weather or other circumstances. The method was devised by two English statisticians, Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis (mathematician), Tony Lewis (not to be confused with former cricketer Tony Lewis), and was formerly known as the Duckworth–Lewis method (D/L). It was introduced in 1997, and adopted officially by the ICC in 1999. Mary-Anne Musonda (born 4 August 1991) is a Zimbabwean cricketer and the current captain of the Zimbabwe women's national cricket team, women's national cricket team, for which she is a right-handed Batting (cricket), batter. Old Hararians Sports Club is a sports club and multi-purpose stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe.
