2021–22 Euro Hockey League
The 2022 Men's Euro Hockey League was the 15th season of the Euro Hockey League, Europe's men's premier club field hockey tournament, organized by the European Hockey Federation. It took place alongside the women's tournament at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands from 13 to 18 April 2022. Due to the delayed 2021 edition of the Euro Hockey League, only 12 teams participated in this edition. The remaining eight teams played in the 2022 Euro Hockey League Ranking Cup. Bloemendaal were the defending champions. They defended their title by defeating Rot-Weiss Köln 4–0 in the final. Bloemendaal became the first club to successfully defend their Euro Hockey League title. Surbiton won the bronze medal by defeating Club de Campo 2–1 and became the first English club in 11 years to win an EHL medal. Amstelveen
Amstelveen () is a List of municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality and List of cities in the Netherlands by province, city in the Provinces of the Netherlands, province of North Holland, Netherlands, with a population of 95,996 as of 2024. Club de Campo Villa de Madrid is a country club, country and sports club located in Madrid, Spain. The club was formed in 1929, and is one of the most known in the city. 2020–21 Men's Hoofdklasse Hockey
The 2020–21 Men's Hoofdklasse Hockey, also known as the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men for sponsorship reasons, was the 48th season of the Men's Hoofdklasse Hockey, the top Dutch field hockey league. The season began on 6 September 2020 and was suspended for at least four weeks on 13 October 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands. The season resumed on 31 January 2021. It concluded with the third match of the championship final on 16 May 2021. On 23 April 2021 it was announced that the relegation play-offs would not be played because the second division's season could not be finished due to the pandemic. 2019–2021 Feldhockey-Bundesliga
The 2019–20 Bundesliga was the 78th season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier field hockey league. It began on 7 September 2019 and it concluded with the championship final on 24 May 2019 in Mannheim. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the league was suspended on 13 March until 1 April 2020. The season returned on 2 September 2020 and was extended into 2021 with an extra round of matches. For the 2019–20 season, the German Hockey Federation introduced a new format. The league was played by twelve teams grouped in two pools of six (Pool A and Pool B) based on the previous season's ranking. The teams of the same pool competed 2 times and faced the teams of the other pool once. Hockey Wales () is the national governing body for field hockey in Wales. It was established as Welsh Hockey Union in 1996 by the merger of Welsh Hockey Association and Welsh Women's Hockey Association, and rebranded to the current name in 2011. The association is responsible for all hockey activities in Wales, and organizes national men's and women's hockey tournaments. Internationally, Welsh players compete at the Summer Olympic Games as part of the Great Britain team. Russian Field Hockey Federation
Russian Field Hockey Federation (), is the governing body for field hockey in Russia. The federation is a member of the European Hockey Federation. The federation was created in 1992, after the 1991 dissolution of the Soviet Union, and took over field hockey in Russia from Federation of bandy and field hockey USSR. In response to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Hockey Federation banned Russia from the 2022 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, and banned Russian officials from FIH events. England Hockey is the Sports governing body, national governing body for the sport of field hockey in England. There are separate governing bodies for the sport in the other parts of the United Kingdom. History and organisation England Hockey was formed on 1 January 2003 to replace the English Hockey Association (EHA) which had had to suspend operations in 2002 because of significant financial problems.
