2021–22 Croatian Second Football League
The 2021–22 Croatian Second Football League (also known as Druga HNL and 2. HNL) is the 31st season of the Croatian Second Football League, the second-level football competition for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 13 August 2021 and is scheduled to end on 28 May 2022. The league is contested by 16 teams, two less than the previous season, and played in a double round robin format, with each team playing every other team twice over 30 rounds. At the end of the season, the league will be reduced from 16 to 12 clubs. Reserve teams of first league clubs will not be allowed to play and will automatically move to a lower rank. Croatian Second Football League
The Druga nogometna liga ( eng, Second football league), commonly Druga NL or 2. NL) is the third tier of the football league system. The league was established in 1991 following the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. It was previously known as the Third Football League, but was renamed with the other leagues for the start of the 2022–23 season. Rules , at least three players under 21 years of age must play in each match, and only two foreign nationals are permitted to play for each team. Format Since its inception in 1992 the league changed formats several times. In its inaugural season the league had four divisions (North, Center, South and West). Croatia Zmijavci is a professional football club from Zmijavci, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia, currently playing in the second division Druga HNL after their 2019 promotion. Zmijavci are one of several Dalmatian football teams with a development agreement with Hajduk Split, the largest football club in the area, having signed on in 2016. History Zmijavci were founded in 1974, and were known as NK Kujundžuša until 1991. In the 2017–18 season, Croatia Zmijavci placed in the round of 16 of the Croatian Cup. The 2021–22 Croatian First Football League (officially Hrvatski Telekom Prva liga for sponsorship reasons) is the 31st season of the Croatian First Football League, the national championship for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 16 July 2021. The league is contested by 10 teams. Teams On 23 April 2021, Croatian Football Federation announced that the first stage of licensing procedure for 2020–21 season was complete. For the 2021–22 Prva HNL, eleven clubs were issued a top level license: Cibalia, Dinamo Zagreb, Gorica, Hajduk Split, Hrvatski Dragovoljac, Istra 1961, Lokomotiva, Osijek, Rijeka, Slaven Belupo and Varaždin. GNK Dinamo Zagreb Academy
GNK Dinamo Zagreb Academy, also known as Hitrec-Kacian (), are the youth team of Dinamo Zagreb. The academy was founded on 27 December 1967. There are a total of ten age categories within the academy, the oldest being the Junior Team (under-19) and youngest being the Zagići II Team (under-8). They have produced many of the Croatia national team stars including Luka Modrić, Vedran Ćorluka, Eduardo, Robert Prosinečki and Zvonimir Boban. History The first junior team was formed in 1945 and the coach was the famous Građanski Zagreb goalkeeper Maks Mihelčić. Soon after that, Márton Bukovi joined the youth squad as an expert coach, but left after two years following his disappointment with the disbanding of Građanski. NK Jarun Zagreb are a football team from Jarun neighborhood of Zagreb, Croatia, currently playing in the 2. HNL, the Croatian second division. They play their home games at the Jarkas pitch on Ogulinska Street.
