2021–22 Brøndby IF Season
The 2021–22 Brøndby IF season is Brøndby IF's 41st consecutive season in top-division of the Danish football league, the 32nd consecutive in Danish Superliga, and the 56th as a football club. Besides the Superliga, the club is also competing in the Danish Cup and this season's editions of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. It is the third season with head coach Niels Frederiksen, after he replaced caretaker manager Martin Retov Martin Retov (; born 5 May 1980) is a Danish football coach and former player. Brøndbyernes Idrætsforening (, usually abbreviated to Brøndby IF (), is a professional association football club based in Brøndbyvester, Capital Region of Denmark. The club was founded in 1964 as a merger between two local clubs and was promoted to the Danish top-flight football league in 1981. Brøndby IF has won 11 Danish championships and 7 Danish Cups. Brøndby's most successful period was from 1985 to 2005 when, in twenty years, they won ten league titles. In 1991, Brøndby reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup and became the first and only Danish club to ever reach a European semi-final. Since the founding of F.C. Jens Martin Gammelby
Jens Martin Gammelby (; born 5 February 1995) is a Danish professional association football, footballer who plays as a right-back for Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF. Club career Silkeborg IF Gammelby is a youth product from Silkeborg IF. He joined the club as U14 player. Gammelby made his Danish Superliga debut on 27 March 2014 in a 1–0 win over Hobro IK, where he was in the starting line-up. Morten Frendrup
Morten Wetche Frendrup (; born 7 April 2001) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Genoa. He has been capped for various Denmark national youth teams. Frendrup was born in Tuse and played youth football with Tuse IF and Holbæk B&I before starting his professional career with Brøndby IF, where he became the youngest player to debut for the club. Kevin N'goyi Tshiembe (; born 31 March 1997) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Brøndby IF in the Danish Superliga. Early life Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Tshiembe's parents arrived in Denmark from Zaire – which is today the Democratic Republic of the Congo – in 1996, the year before his birth. Andreas Bruus
Andreas Bruus (; born 16 January 1999) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a right-back for club Troyes. He has also represented Denmark at youth international level. Career Brøndby Youth Born in Greve Strand, Bruus joined the Brøndby IF youth academy in 2005. He combined this with education at first Krogårdsskolen in his hometown of Greve, and later secondary school at Albertslund Gymnasium together with fellow Brøndby talents Casper Hauervig and Christian Enemark. Thomas Korsgaard Mikkelsen (; born 27 August 1983) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Danish Superliga club Brøndby. Club career Early years Mikkelsen started out his career on Funen, playing for local lower division clubs B 1909, FC Fyn, and Næsby between 1998 and 2009. Blas Miguel Riveros Galeano (born 3 February 1998) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Argentine Primera División club Talleres and the Paraguay national team.
