Brisbane Roar Football Club is an Australian professional association football, soccer club based in Brisbane, Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland and has won the domestic title on three occasions, as well as holding the longest unbeaten record of 36 league matches without defeat. Brisbane competes in the country's premier competition, the A-League, and has Warren Moon as manager. The club has a shared history with Queensland Lions FC, Queensland Lions F.C. who competed in the inaugural A-League season as Queensland Roar. Background Formed in 1957 as Hollandia-Inala by Dutch immigrants, the club became 'Brisbane Lions' and then transitioned into Queensland Roar, playing under that name from the inaugural 2005–06 A-League, 2005–06 season of the A-League until the 2008–09 season before finally becoming 'Brisbane Roar'.
