Doksy
Doksy (german: Hirschberg am See) is a town in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,200 inhabitants. It is known for Lake Mácha and its summer vacation resort. Administrative parts Villages of Břehyně, Kruh, Obora, Staré Splavy, Vojetín, Zbyny and Žďár are administrative parts of Doksy. Vojetín forms an exclave of the municipal territory. Etymology The town's name is derived from the Old English word '' wiktionary:dox'' ("dark"), which refers to the dark places in the swamps near Dokský stream. The German name ''Hirschberg am See'' means "deer hill by lake". A deer is seen on the symbols of the town. Geography Doksy is located about southeast of Česká Lípa and southwest of Liberec. It lies in the Ralsko Uplands. The highest point is the hill Dub at above sea level. The Robečský Stream flows through the town. Doksy lies on the shores of Lake Mácha pond, fed by the stream. Gaute Hallan Steiwer (born 31 January 1990) is a Norwegian orienteering competitor. He was born in Oslo. He won gold medals in the middle distance and in the relay at the 2010 Junior World Orienteering Championships in Aalborg. Sara Hagström (born 25 March 1995) is a Swedish orienteering competitor. Her achievements include winning three world championship gold medals with the Swedish relay teams. Biography Hagström was born in Skövde. Simona Aebersold
Simona Aebersold (born 13 April 1998) is a Swiss orienteering competitor. She is the daughter of Christian Aebersold, who won the World Orienteering Championships 3 times. Career Aebersold dominated the Junior World Championships between 2015 and 2018, achieving her first gold medal at the age of 17 in the Sprint distance. She won every Junior World sprint event for the next four years, as well as medalling in three relay events, with two silvers and one gold. In 2017, Aebersold won all 3 individual golds and a further medal in the relay, matching the feat achieved the same year by Finnish runner Olli Ojanaho in the men's class. Andrine Benjaminsen (born 23 August 1995) is a Norwegian Orienteering, orienteer and ski orienteering, ski orienteer. Career Benjaminsen represented Norway at the 2017 World Orienteering Championships in Tartu, Estonia, where her best result was ninth place in the long distance. In ski orienteering, she won a bronze medal at the 2013 and 2015 Junior World Ski Orienteering Championships, Junior World Championships. Maja Alm
Maja Møller Alm (born July 10, 1988) is a Danish orienteering and Athletics competitor who has won seven World Championships and two World Games titles. She is especially known for her four gold medals on the sprint distance, where she has won the title four years in a row: 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Tove Alexandersson (born 7 September 1992) is a Swedish orienteer, ski orienteer, skyrunner and ski mountaineer. Florian Howald (born 20 August 1991) is a Swiss orienteering competitor. At the 2016 World Orienteering Championships in Strömstad he won a silver medal in mixed sprint relay with the Swiss team, along with Rahel Friederich, Martin Hubmann and Judith Wyder.
