2021 Women's South American Volleyball Championship
The 2021 Women's South American Volleyball Championship was the 34th edition of the Women's South American Volleyball Championship held in Barrancabermeja, Colombia and organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The champion and first runner-ups will qualify for the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. Gabriela Guimarães
Gabriela Braga Guimarães, nickname Gabi, (born 19 May 1994) is a Brazilian indoor volleyball player. She plays as an outside spiker. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the Volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament, Women's tournament, winning a silver medal. Career Guimarães played with her national team, winning the bronze at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, 2014 World Championship when her team defeated Italy 3–2 in the bronze medal match. South American Men's Volleyball Championship
The Men's South American Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of South America, organized by the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol, CSV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1967 Men's South American Volleyball Championship, 1967 they have been awarded every two years. The competition has been dominated by Brazil men's national volleyball team, Brazil, which won 33 of the 34 editions. The only tournament not won by Brazil was the 1964 championship, when the team did not compete due to 1964 Brazilian coup d'état, political turmoil in the country. The Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup is a Continental Cup organized by NORCECA with teams from all over America ( North-, South- and Central America, and the Caribbean), that served as a qualifier for the World Grand Prix. The Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup is a men's volleyball tournament organized by NORCECA. Initially, only NORCECA teams participated, but CSV teams have been invited since 2010. The event served as a qualifier for World League and the America's Cup. Now, the event serves as an America qualifier for the Pan American Games classification.
