2021 Vuelta A Andalucía
The 2021 Vuelta a Andalucía Ruta del Sol was a road cycling stage race that took place in the Andalusia region of southern Spain between 18 and 22 May 2021. It was the 67th edition of the Vuelta a Andalucía, and was rated as a category- 2.Pro event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries calendars. The race was originally scheduled for 17 to 21 February, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be postponed to mid-May. Teams Nine UCI WorldTeams and seven UCI ProTeams made up the sixteen teams that participated in the race. , with six riders, was the only team to not enter the maximum of seven riders. 111 riders started the race, of which 104 finished. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Alcalá la Real is a city in the Jaén (Spanish province), province of Jaén, Spain. According to the 2006 census (Instituto Nacional de Estadística (Spain), INE), the city has a population of 22,129. Iznájar
Iznájar is a town and municipal area in the province of Córdoba in Andalucia, southern Spain. Located at , it lies on the Genil river approximately 110 km from the provincial capital of Córdoba very close to the borders with both Málaga and Granada provinces at a height of 539 metres above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 136 km2 and in 2005 had a population of 4,960 inhabitants, with a population density of 36.5 people per km2. Zahara De La Sierra
Zahara de la Sierra is a municipality in the province of Cádiz in the hills of Andalusia, southern Spain. It is perched on a mountain, overlooking a valley and a man-made lake formed by the dam that must be driven over to access the town. It is considered to be one of the '' pueblos blancos'' or "white towns" because the overwhelming majority of the buildings are white. The town was originally a Moorish outpost, overlooking the valley. Due to its position between Ronda and Seville, it was a perfect site for a castle to be built to serve as a fortress in case of attack. The remains of the Moorish castle still exist.
