2021 Valencian Community Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2021 Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana) was the eighteenth and final round of the 2021 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It was held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia on 14 November 2021. It was also the final Grand Prix for Valentino Rossi who retired after the season. In the MotoGP class, Ducati Lenovo Team secured the Teams' Championship, its first since by making possible the first podium lock-up for Ducati in the MotoGP history with Francesco Bagnaia winning the race ahead of fellow Ducati riders Jorge Martín, who later became Rookie of the Year, and Jack Miller. In the Moto2 class, Remy Gardner won the Riders' Championship. Kenneth Leroy Roberts Jr. (born July 25, 1973, in Mountain View, California) is an American former professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer who won the 2000 FIM Road Racing World Championship, after finishing runner-up in . Kenneth Leroy Roberts (born December 31, 1951, in Modesto, California) is an American former professional motorcycle racer and racing team owner. In 1978, he became the first American to win a Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championship. He was also a two-time winner of the A.M.A. Grand National Championship. Roberts is one of only four riders in American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) racing history to win the AMA Grand Slam, representing Grand National wins at a mile, half-mile, short-track, TT Steeplechase and road race events. Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the premier championship of motorcycle road racing, which has been divided into three classes since 1990: 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Former classes that have been discontinued include 350cc, 50cc/80cc and Sidecar. 250cc is the intermediate category; the 250cc refers to the size of the engines of the motorcycles that race in that class. Remy Christopher Gardner (born 24 February 1998) is an Australian motorcycle racer, best known for winning the 2021 Moto2 World Championship with Red Bull KTM Ajo. He is the son of 1987 premier class world champion, Wayne Gardner. Career Moto3 World Championship Gardner made his first three appearances in the Moto3 World Championship in 2014, twice as replacement for injured riders and once as a wild card entry, scoring one point in Malaysia. 2021 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
upright=0.7, Valentino Rossi retired at the end of the season after a 26-year career. The 2021 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 73rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Fabio Quartararo won his first world title, with five race wins ahead of securing the title in the third last race of the season. Quartararo became the first ever Frenchman to win the premier class title, which was also the first title for a non-Spanish rider since Australian Casey Stoner in 2011.
