2021 UTSA Roadrunners Baseball Team
The 2021 UTSA Roadrunners baseball team represented the University of Texas at San Antonio in the sport of baseball for the 2021 college baseball season. The Roadrunners competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and in Conference USA West Division. They played their home games at Roadrunner Field in San Antonio, Texas. The team was coached by Patrick Hallmark, who was in his second season with the Roadrunners. Preseason C-USA media poll The Conference USA preseason poll was released on February 11, 2021 with the Roadrunners predicted to finish in fifth place in the West Division. Patrick Hallmark
James Patrick Hallmark (born December 31, 1973) is an American college baseball coach and former outfielder and catcher. He is the head baseball coach at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Hallmark played college baseball at Alvin Community College and Rice University before pursuing a professional career. Hallmark was the head coach of the Incarnate Word Cardinals baseball from 2018 to 2019. Amateur career Hallmark attended Westbury High School (Houston), Westbury High School in Houston, Texas. As a member of the baseball team, Hallmark was a two-time All-district selection. Upon graduation from Westbury, Hallmark enrolled at Alvin Community College. After graduating from Alvin, Hallmark accepted a baseball scholarship offer from Rice University. Hallmark helped the Owls to their first 40-win season in 11 years. Baylor Ballpark is the baseball stadium at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. The stadium was built on the site of Ferrell Field, Baylor's home from 1977 to 1998, by mid-February in 1999. Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium at Tom and Lib Phillips Field is a baseball venue on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Reckling Park is the baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA. It serves as the home field of the Rice Owls baseball team. The stadium was built on the site of Cameron Field, Rice's home from 1978–99, in time for the 2000 season.
