2021 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic
The 2021 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic was held on September 14–17, 2021 in Norwood, Massachusetts. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, and ice dance. This was the first time since 2013 that the competition was not included as part of the ISU Challenger Series, as well as the first time that pair skating was not included as a discipline. 2021–22 Figure Skating Season
The 2021–22 figure skating season began on July 1, 2021 and ended on June 30, 2022. During this season, elite skaters competed on the ISU Championship level at the 2022 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships, as well as at the 2022 Winter Olympics. They also competed at elite events such as the Grand Prix and Junior Grand Prix series, and the ISU Challenger Series. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Grand Prix Final was cancelled, while parts of the Junior Grand Prix, Grand Prix, and Challenger Series were not held as scheduled. Among the ISU Championships events, the Four Continents Championships were relocated, and the World Junior Championships were postponed and relocated. Due to re-allocations, the Estonian Skating Union hosted three of the four ISU Championships events this season. Diana Sergeevna Davis (russian: Диана Сергеевна Дэвис, born 16 January 2003) is an American-born Russian ice dancer who represents Russia. With her partner, Gleb Smolkin, she is the 2021 CS Warsaw Cup champion and the 2022 Russian national silver medalist. On the junior level, Davis/Smolkin are the 2020 Russian junior national bronze medalists, finished in the top five at the 2020 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, and competed at the 2019–20 Junior Grand Prix Final. Christopher Caluza
Christopher Caluza (born July 3, 1990) is a retired Filipino-American figure skater. He is the 2013 Lombardia Trophy silver medalist, 2012 Bavarian Open bronze medalist, and the three-time Philippines national champion. Career Caluza, who began skating on roller blades at age six, took up figure skating when he was seven following the roller rink's closure. Caluza won the bronze medal at the 2012 Bavarian Open and at the same time earned the minimum score necessary to compete in an ISU Championships. He went on to place 12th at the 2012 Four Continents Championships and 21st at the 2012 World Championships. The Philippines used the 2013 Four Continents to determine who would receive their sole men's spot at the 2013 World Championships.
