2021 Tour Of Romania
The 2021 Tour of Romania was a six-day cycling stage race that took place in Romania in August and September 2021. The race was the 54th edition of the Tour of Romania. The tour was rated as a 2.1 event, as part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour. Jakub Kaczmarek became the second Polish rider to win the Tour of Romania after Daniel Zigmund in 1935. Route Teams Twenty teams were invited to start the race. Sixteen gave a positive answer: one UCI ProTeam, twelve UCI Continental Teams and three national teams. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Poiana Brașov
Poiana Brașov (, german: Schulerau; hu, Brassópojána) is a neighborhood of Brașov and a Romanian ski resort. After the 2010s modernization, the ski area has expanded from to and the slope’s length was increased from to . Most slopes now have snow cannons installed. In 2013, Poiana Brașov hosted figure skating, alpine skiing, and short track in the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival. The resort is located at about above sea level near the city of Brașov in Romania and it is easily accessible by road.
