2021 Toronto FC Season
The 2021 Toronto FC season was the 15th season in the history of Toronto FC. Due to COVID-19 cross-border restrictions imposed by the Canadian government, Toronto FC, along with the two other Canadian MLS teams (CF Montréal and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC), played in the United States at the beginning of the season while also sharing stadiums with other American MLS teams. From April 17 until July 16, Toronto FC played home matches at Orlando City SC's Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida. On July 14, MLS announced that Toronto FC were allowed to play two home matches on July 17 and 21, although they continued to work with the Canadian Government regarding plans on future home matches. Outside of the MLS season, Toronto finished as the runners-up of the 2021 Canadian Championship after losing the final to rivals CF Montréal 1–0. Toronto Football Club (commonly known as Toronto FC or TFC) is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Toronto. Syracuse Orange is the NCAA college soccer team for Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. They are a Division I (NCAA), Division I team in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Alexander Nicholas Bono (born April 25, 1994) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club D.C. United. Quentin Oyamo Westberg (born April 25, 1986) is a soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Atlanta United. 2021 Canadian Championship Final
The 2021 Canadian Championship Final was an association football match played between CF Montréal and Toronto FC at Saputo Stadium on November 21, 2021. The match determined the winner of the 2021 Canadian Championship, Canada's primary men's domestic cup competition. It was the 14th final in the competition's history, although it was played before the 2020 final, which was delayed over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 Toronto FC season was the 16th season in the history of Toronto FC. Squad ''As of August 4, 2022'' Roster slots Toronto currently has 6+3 international roster slots and three Designated Player slots available for use in the 2022 season.
