2021 Sofia Twenty20
The 2021 Sofia Twenty20 International tournament was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Bulgaria in June 2021. The tournament was played at the National Sports Academy in Sofia and was arranged to mark 20 years since the founding of the Bulgarian Cricket Federation. In addition to the hosts Bulgaria, the competing nations were Greece, Romania and Serbia. The tournament consisted of a round-robin stage, followed by semi-finals and a final. Romania topped the round-robin stage to set up a semi-final match against Serbia, with Bulgaria and Greece playing in the second semi-final. After winning their semi-final against Serbia, Romania defeated Bulgaria by 7 wickets in the final. The Bulgarian Cricket Federation is the official governing body of the sport of cricket in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Cricket Federation is Bulgarias's representative at the International Cricket Council and is an affiliate member and has been a member of that body since 2008. Serbia National Cricket Team
The Serbian national cricket team is the team that represents Serbia in international cricket. It is governed by the Serbian Cricket Federation (also known as Kriket federacija Srbije) which became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in June 2015 and is an associate member since 2017. A Twenty20 International (T20I) is an international cricket match between two teams, each having T20I status, as determined by the International Cricket Council, the sport's world governing body. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Net run rate (NRR) is a statistical method used in analysing teamwork and/or performance in cricket. It is the most commonly used method of ranking teams with equal points in limited overs league competitions, similar to goal difference in football. The NRR in a single game is the average runs per over that team scores, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them. The NRR in a tournament is the average runs per over that a team scores across the whole tournament, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them across the whole tournament. The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs.
