2021 Oman Tri-Nation Series (round 6)
The 2021 Oman Tri-Nation Series was the 6th round of the 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament which was played in Oman in September 2021. It was a tri-nation series between Nepal, Oman and the United States cricket teams, with the matches played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The series was originally scheduled to take place in March 2021. In January 2021, USA Cricket named a 44-man squad to begin training in Texas ahead of the series. The following month, the Cricket Association of Nepal named a 32-man preliminary squad to begin training for the series. 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2
The 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 is the first edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, a cricket tournament which forms part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualification process. It is currently running from August 2019 to February 2023, with all matches played as One Day Internationals (ODIs). Each set of fixtures will take part as a tri-series. Scotland, Nepal and the United Arab Emirates were joined by the top four teams from the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. The first round of fixtures was played in Aberdeen, Scotland in August 2019. 2023 Cricket World Cup
The 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is scheduled to be hosted by India during October and November 2023, and will be the first time the competition is held entirely in India. Three previous editions were partially hosted there – 1987, 1996, and 2011. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be played from 9 February to 26 March 2023; but in July 2020, it was announced that the tournament would be delayed to an October–November window, following the disruption of the qualification schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sompal Kami ( ne, सोमपाल कामी; born 2 February 1996) is a Nepalese professional cricketer. Kami is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He is one of the eleven cricketers to play in Nepal's first ever One Day International (ODI) match, against the Netherlands, in August 2018. In January 2019, he became the first bowler for Nepal to take a five-wicket haul in an ODI match.
