2021 Moto3 World Championship
The 2021 FIM Moto3 World Championship was a part of the 73rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Pedro Acosta secured the 2021 championship with one race left in the season, which was marred by the death of Jason Dupasquier during the second qualifying session of the Italian Grand Prix. Teams and riders All teams used series-specified Dunlop tyres. Team changes * GasGas entered the championship with Aspar Team, who had previously used KTM motorcycles. * Estrella Galicia 0,0 and Sky Racing Team VR46 withdrew from Moto3. * Avintia Esponsorama Racing expanded to two riders. Rider changes * Darryn Binder joined Petronas Sprinta Racing, replacing Khairul Idham Pawi. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM; en, International Motorcycling Federation) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 116 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. There are seven motorcycle-racing disciplines that FIM covers, encompassing 82 world championships as well as hundreds of secondary championships: enduro, trial, circuit racing, motocross and supermoto, cross-country, e-bike, and track racing. FIM is also involved in many non-racing activities that promote the sport, its safety, and support relevant public policy. Sepang Racing Team
The Sepang Racing Team (formerly known as SIC Racing Team) was a Malaysian Grand Prix motorcycle racing team which operated until the end of 2021, and was owned by the Sepang International Circuit. First established in 2015 in the Moto3 class and expanded in 2019, it fielded teams in MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 championships. The MotoGP team was formally called Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team (Petronas Yamaha SRT), while the Moto2 and Moto3 teams were named Petronas Sprinta Racing Team (Petronas SRT). Xavier Artigas Lopez (born 27 May 2003) is a Spanish motorcycle racer, riding for CF Moto Prüstel in the Moto3 World Championship. Career Early career 2018 Artigas bought attention to himself in the 2018 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, where he won a race, came in second place three times, and finished third once. He finished third in the standings, behind Turkish twins Can Öncü and Deniz Öncü. 2019 Artigas moved up to the Moto3 Junior World Championship for the 2019 season, and ended with one race win, one second place, and two third place podium finishes, once again finishing third in the standings. Dennis Foggia
Dennis Foggia (born 7 January 2001) is an Italian motorcycle rider who is scheduled to compete in the 2023 Moto2 World Championship, riding for Italtrans Racing Team. He previously competed in Moto3, becoming the 2021 runner-up. Career Early career Foggia made his debut in motorcycle racing at age 15, during the 2016 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship, riding for the VR46 Riders Academy team, along with Celestino Vietti. In his first ever race, the opening round at Valencia, he finished in second place, and was a regular points scorer throughout the year, finishing 7th in the standings with 79 points, and grabbing a third place podium in the final race of the season, also at Valencia. Leopard Racing is a Luxembourg–Italian motorcycle racing team competing in the Moto3 class of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship. The team has won two Moto3 Teams' Championships. History Leopard Racing was founded by Flavio Becca at the end of 2014 with the intention of participating in the Moto3 World Championship the following year.
