2021 Miami Marlins Season
The Miami Marlins' 2021 season was the 29th season for the Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise in the National League and the 10th as the "Miami" Marlins. The Marlins played their home games at LoanDepot Park as members of the National League East Division. The Marlins did not qualify for the playoffs, finishing fourth in their division with a 67–95 record. National League East
The National League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. Along with the American League Central it is one of two divisions to have every member win at least one World Series title. The division was created when the National League (along with the American League) added two expansion teams and divided into two divisions, East and West effective for the 1969 season. The National League's geographical alignment was rather peculiar as its partitioning was really more north and south instead of east and west. Two teams in the Eastern Time Zone, the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds, were in the same division as teams on the Pacific coast. Trevor J'Daniel Rogers (born November 13, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2020. Amateur career Rogers attended Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, New Mexico. As a junior, he was 9–2 with a 0.70 earned run average (ERA) and 122 strikeouts and helped lead his team to victory in the 6A state championship game. Rogers committed to Texas Tech University to play college baseball. Daniel Robert Ponce de Leon (born January 16, 1992), formerly known as Daniel Poncedeleon, is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals. Amateur career Ponce de Leon attended La Mirada High School in La Mirada, California. In 2010, his senior year, he went 6–3 with a 2.95 earned run average (ERA). Richard Sidney Bleier (born April 16, 1987) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles and Miami Marlins. In high school, he was a State of Florida All Star in 2005. In his junior year of college at Florida Gulf Coast University, Bleier was selected unanimously as the Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year and First Team All Sun Conference. Andrew Michael Kittredge (born March 17, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Kittredge attended Ferris High School in Spokane, Washington. He was drafted out of high school by the Seattle Mariners in the 45th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft, but opted to attend the University of Washington.
