Los Angeles Football Club, commonly referred to as LAFC, is an American professional Association football team based in Los Angeles. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The club was established on October 30, 2014, and began play during the 2018 season as an expansion team. The club plays their home matches at Banc of California Stadium, a soccer-specific stadium located in Exposition Park. The managing owners of the club are Brandon Beck, Larry Berg, and Bennett Rosenthal. Los Angeles FC also has a variety of other part-owners, such as Will Ferrell. The club's inaugural head coach was Bob Bradley, who served from 2017 to 2021. During their second season in 2019, Los Angeles FC won the Supporters' Shield with club captain Carlos Vela earning the MVP Award. Sebastien Ibeagha
Sebastien Uchechukwu Ibeagha (born January 21, 1992) is a professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. Born in Nigeria, he represented the United States national under-20 team. Career Youth, college, and semi-professional Ibeagha joined the Houston Dynamo academy after he and his family moved to Houston, Texas from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was named as the 2009 Dynamo Academy Player of the Year and trained with the Dynamo first team during the summer of 2009. Alvaro Quezada
Álvaro Quezada (born March 4, 1999) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays for Memphis 901 in the USL Championship. Career Youth Quezada played four seasons with LA Premier FC, now known as Los Angeles Surf Soccer Club, prior to attending college. College In 2017, Quezada attended University of California, Irvine to play college soccer. Over three seasons, Quezada made 55 appearances, scoring 8 goals and tallying 9 assists for the Anteaters. There was no 2020 season in the Big West Conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Professional On January 21, 2021, Quezada was selected 68th overall in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft by Los Angeles FC. Erik Dueñas (born October 18, 2004) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a right-back for Major League Soccer club Los Angeles FC. Jordan Harvey (born January 28, 1984) is an American former professional soccer player who last played for Major League Soccer club Los Angeles FC. Career Youth and college Harvey started playing club soccer with Strikers FC.
