The 2021 Ligue de Football de Saint Pierre et Miquelon is the 36th season of top-division football in Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Three clubs competed in the league: AS Saint Pierraise, A.S. Miquelonnaise and A.S. Ilienne Amateur. The 4-month season kicked off on 26 May with a match between ASSP and Asia. ASSP won 3–0. In the second match of the season ASM defeated ASSP 3–1. The final match of the season is scheduled for 18 September 2021. Miquelonnaise clinched the championship after a 5–0 victory over Saint Pierraise in Match 20. The Ligue de football de Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon is the regional football association of the French overseas collectivity of Saint Pierre and Miquelon. The term can also refer to the territory's football league. The current President is Ludivine Quédinet. League In Saint-Pierre and Miquelon there are three amateur clubs, playing only one level. The league is played from the beginning of June and the end of September each year due to climatic conditions. The league was organized primarily by Louis Quedinet who would go on to be president of the league for eighteen years. For his efforts, he was inducted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Hall of Fame in 2013. Hugo Carlos Rodrigues Ganchinho Pereira (born 6 November 1978), is a Portuguese football coach and former player. He is currently head coach for Ranheim. He was also assistant manager of Kåre Ingebrigtsen at Rosenborg along with Erik Hoftun. During his period at the club, Pereira contributed to two Norwegian league titles, two Norwegian super cup and one Norwegian cup. Biography Hugo Pereira was a youth player at Benfica but never managed to take the step up to professional football. After playing amateur football for about 10 years, Pereira retired and instead started pursuing a career as a football manager.
