2021 Liga 2 (Peru)
The 2021 Liga 2 season was the 76th edition of the second tier of Federación Peruana de Futbol. The season play started on 19 May 2021 and ended on 15 October 2021. On August 19, 2021, Cultural Santa Rosa changed its name to Los Chankas. Competition format The season was divided into three stages: Fase 1, Fase 2 and the Playoffs. The Fase 1 and Fase 2 were played under the same format, a single round-robin with the 12 teams playing each other once for a total of 22 games (11 for each stage). Points earned during the Fase 1 did not carry over during the Fase 2, however, points earned in both stages generated a final aggregate table. The winners of the Fase 1 and Fase 2 stages qualified to the playoffs, as long as they were among the top six teams of the aggregate table. Peruvian Segunda División
The Liga 2 (Ligue 2) of Peru is the second-highest division in the Peruvian football league system. It is a professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation. After years of changing numbers of clubs, as of 2021 the league includes 12 clubs. History The format of the Second Division has changed over the years. For decades after it was first formed in 1936, only clubs from the Lima Region, Department of Lima participated in the annual tournament. Juan Aurich
Club Juan Aurich S. A., commonly known as Juan Aurich, is a professional football club based in Chiclayo, Peru. The original Juan Aurich club was founded in 1922, this incarnation however was founded in 2005; they play in the Torneo Descentralizado where they have been playing since attaining promotion when they won the 2007 Copa Perú. They play their home games at the Estadio Elías Aguirre. Although the current Juan Aurich has played for only a few years in the top-flight, three other football clubs named Juan Aurich have played in the Torneo Descentralizado. Unión Comercio is a Peruvian football club based in the city of Nueva Cajamarca, San Martín, Peru. History Unión Comercio was 2010 Liga Departamental champion, when they defeated Atlético Belén. Chiclayo

San Vicente de Cañete, commonly known as San Vicente or Cañete, is a city and capital of the Cañete Province, in southern Lima Region. With a population of 85,533 (2015 estimate). Comerciantes Unidos is a Peruvian football club from Cutervo, Cajamarca. It plays in the Peruvian Segunda Division.
