2021 Le Castellet Formula 3 Round
The 2021 Le Castellet Formula 3 round was the 2nd round of the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship. It took place at the Circuit Paul Ricard and ran from 18th to 20th June, featuring 3 races in support of the 2021 French Grand Prix. Background FIA Formula 3 last raced here in 2019. It was taken off in 2020 in favor of the Circuit Zandvoort. However, changes to the calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a new cost-cutting measure meant that it returned for 2021. László Tóth (racing driver), László Tóth tested positive for COVID before the weekend, and he was replaced by Pierre-Louis Chovet, who had been replaced at Jenzer by Johnathan Hoggard for sponsorship reasons. Victor Martins (born 16 June 2001) is a French-Portuguese racing driver and member of the Alpine Academy. He won the 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup and the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship. HWA Team
HWA Team, also known as HWA RACELAB, is the auto racing team of HWA AG, a German company based in Affalterbach, that also develops and builds vehicles and components for Mercedes-AMG race cars. It is named after founder Hans-Werner Aufrecht. History HWA was responsible for managing the AMG Mercedes team in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM). Matteo Nannini (born 10 July 2003) is an Italian- Argentine racing driver who currently competes in Indy NXT for Juncos Hollinger Racing. His father is a first cousin of former Formula One driver Alessandro Nannini and of singer Gianna Nannini. Racing career Karting Nannini started karting at the age of 6 where he would go on to win a number of karting championships. Logan Hunter Sargeant (born December 31, 2000) is an American racing driver, who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Carlin. Clément Novalak (born 23 December 2000) is a French- Swiss racing driver set to race for Trident in the 2023 Formula 2 Championship, having previously drove for MP Motorsport. Caio Jotta Collet (born 3 April 2002) is a Brazilian racing driver who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for MP Motorsport.
