2021 LKL Playoffs
The 2021 LKL Playoffs featured the eight best teams of the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL) basketball league in Lithuania, competing for the championship spot. This will be the LKL playoffs' 26th edition. Žalgiris achieved their 23rd title overall, eleven consecutive. The quarter-finals will be played in a best-of-three format, with the higher seeded team playing the first and (if necessary) third game at home. The semi-finals and finals will be played in a best-of-five format, with the higher seed team playing games 1, 3 and 5 (if necessary) at home. 2020–21 LKL Season
The 2020–21 Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, also called Betsafe-LKL for sponsorship reasons, was the 28th season of the top-tier level professional basketball league of Lithuania, the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL). Žalgiris achieved their 23rd title overall, eleven consecutive. Competition format During the regular season, all teams play 36 games. The top eight teams in the regular season standings, after playing their entire 36 game schedule, qualified for the playoffs in the quarterfinals, that was played in a best-of-three games format. The semifinals were played in best-of-three format. The final round was played between the two winners of the semifinals. The finals series, for first place, as also games for third place were played in a best-of-five format. Žalgiris Arena
Žalgiris Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New Town of Kaunas, Lithuania. The arena is located on an island of the Nemunas River. It is the largest indoor arena in the Baltics. The arena's maximum possible seating capacity for basketball games is 15,450, and 20,000 spectators for concerts (when the stage is in the middle, and 17,000 when stage is in the side of the arena).
