2021 Kansas State Wildcats Baseball Team
The 2021 Kansas State Wildcats baseball team represents Kansas State University during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats play their home games at Tointon Family Stadium as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They are led by head coach Pete Hughes, in his 3rd season at Kansas State. Pete Hughes
Pete Hughes (born January 11, 1968) is an American college baseball coach and head coach of the Kansas State Wildcats baseball team. Previously he served as the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners baseball and the Virginia Tech Hokies baseball team. Playing career After growing up in Brockton, Massachusetts, Hughes attended Boston College High School, lettering in both baseball and football for the Eagles. Hughes then was a four-year starting quarterback at Davidson College. He also played third base for the Wildcats baseball team. Coaching career After completing college, Hughes became an assistant coach for both baseball and football at Hamilton College. He stayed there for one academic year before moving to Northeastern in the same dual capacity. After five years, he decided to focus on baseball and landed his first head coaching job at Trinity University in Texas. The 2021 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represented Texas Tech University during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. Reckling Park
Reckling Park is the baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA. It serves as the home field of the Rice Owls baseball team. The stadium was built on the site of Cameron Field, Rice's home from 1978–99, in time for the 2000 season. The Owls have hosted 10 NCAA regional and five super regional tournaments at Reckling Park, including one of each in their national championship season of 2003 and in the years of other College World Series appearances, 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
