The Japanese Regional Leagues, the fifth tier of the Japanese association football league system, played a regular season in 2021. Mitsubishi Mizushima FC
are a Japanese football club based in Kurashiki, Okayama. They play in the Chūgoku Soccer League. History The club was founded in 1946 to provide recreational activities in the war-torn Mizushima area of Kurashiki city. They joined the Okayama Prefecture League in 1965 and were promoted to the Chūgoku Regional League in 1979 for the first time. They were relegated to the Prefecture League in 1982 and stayed there for 8 years. After re-entering the Chūgoku League, they won 5 championships before being promoted to the JFL in 2005. In recent years they have adopted the moniker "Red Adamant" (after their parent company Mitsubishi Motors and its former flagship football club, now known as Urawa Red Diamonds), with an aim to eventually join J. League and be a star club in their own right. Japanese Regional Leagues
are a group of parallel association football leagues in Japan that are organized on the regional basis. They form the fifth tier of the Japanese association football league system below the nationwide Japan Football League. Overview Japan is divided regionally in a variety of ways, some of them administrative and some more historical. For the football purposes, the country is divided into nine regions. All regional league champions earn the right to participate in the Regional Football League Competition (since 2016 renamed Japan Regional Football Champions League) at the end of the year. Runners-up may also qualify according to criteria set by the Japan Football Association. Regional league clubs also compete in the All Japan Senior Football Championship, a cup competition. The winner of this cup also earns a berth in the Regional League promotion series, and the runner-up may also qualify depending on space and JFA criteria. Artista Asama
is a football (soccer) club based in Tōmi, located in Nagano Prefecture in Japan. They play in the Hokushinetsu Football League, which is part of Japanese Regional Leagues. History The club was founded in 1982 and currently has been managed by a non-profit organization, Artista Dream Project, which took the helm of the club in March 2010. In addition to the top team, Artista features a satellite team (Artista Grande), a junior youth team (Artista JYFC) and a junior team (Artista JFC). From the 2018 season, the club has adopted the new name as "Artista Asama" after the local peak which overlooks the cities of Ueda, Tomi and Saku.
