Italian Formula 4 Championship is the first formula racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations. The inaugural season was the 2014 Italian F4 Championship, effectively replacing the Formula Abarth. History Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched the FIA Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of the Formula 4 is to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. Besides sporting and technical regulations, costs are regulated too. A car to compete in this category may not exceed €30,000 in purchase. A single season in Formula 4 may not exceed €100,000 in costs. The Italian Formula 4 was the first FIA Formula 4 championship to be launched. The Italian championship was launched by the ACI-CSAI on December 12, 2013. WSK Promotions, well known for its kart races in the WSK Euro Series e.a., was contracted to promote the championship. Pedro Alexandre Martins Perino (born 27 May 2005) is a Portuguese- Mozambican racing driver who drives for Inter Europol Competition in the European Le Mans Series. Early career Having tested Formula 4 machinery in Cremona at the back end of 2020, the Mozambican would make his car racing debut, driving for DR Formula RP Motorsport in the final round of the Italian F4 Championship. Perino completed further F4 tests in December in preparation for a full assault of the Italian series. That year, he also competed in karting, driving for KR Motorsport in the OK category of the European and World championships. Piotr Wiśnicki (; born 20 August 2003) is a Polish racing driver who is competing in the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Rodin Motorsport, having previously competed in the series in 2023 for PHM Racing by Charouz. He has previously competed in Italian F4 and the Formula Regional European Championship. Career Karting career Wiśnicki started professional karting racing in 2014, at 11 years old. Marcos Flack (born 8th March 2006), is an Australian racing driver currently competing in the GB3 Championship with Douglas Motorsport, and the Italian F4 Championship with R-ace GP. He is the son of former Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship amateur driver Damien Flack and is currently coached by British Touring Car Championship driver Dan Cammish. Oliver "Ollie" Gray (born 28 April 2005) is a British racing driver set to compete in the 2024 European Le Mans Series with Inter Europol Competition.
