The 2021 Incarnate Word Cardinals softball team represented the University of the Incarnate Word during the 2021 NCAA Division I softball season. The Cardinals played their home games at H-E-B Field and were led by fourth-year head coach Joe DiPietro. They were members of the Southland Conference. The Incarnate Word Cardinals softball team represents the University of the Incarnate Word, located in San Antonio, TX. The Cardinals are a member of the Southland Conference and participate in NCAA Division I college softball. The team is currently led by head coach Kimberly Dean and plays home games at H-E-B Field. During the 2013–14 season the Cardinals started the four-year transitional period from NCAA Division 2 to Division 1. History The first season for the Incarnate Word Cardinals softball team was 1987. The team first competed in NAIA, NCAA Division II, and is currently in the NCAA Division I since 2014. Swanner Field At Geo Surfaces Park
Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park is a softball venue in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States. It is home to the Nicholls Colonels softball team of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. The venue has a capacity of 500. History The park opened in 1981 was formerly named Colonels Softball Diamond and Colonels Softball Complex. Prior to the 2018 season, the park underwent major renovations. It included a new synthetic turf infield by Geo Surfaces, new lights and renovated dugouts and seating. The renovations were funded by donations from Neal Swanner and the Norman Swanner Foundation. In honor of those donations, the playing surface was named Swanner Field. The UTEP Miners is the name given to the sports teams of the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). They are informally referred to as the Miners, UTEP, or Texas–El Paso. UTEP was a member of the Western Athletic Conference from 1967 to 2005, when they joined Rice, Tulsa, and SMU in leaving the WAC for Conference USA. The Arizona State Sun Devils softball team represents Arizona State University in NCAA Division I College softball. The team competes in the Pac-12 Conference, and plays its home games at Alberta B.
