2021 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Football Team
The 2021 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team represented the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Rainbow Warriors played their home games on the campus at the Clarence T. C. Ching Athletics Complex as members of the West Division of the Mountain West Conference. They were led by second-year head coach Todd Graham. Despite losing three straight games en route to finishing the regular season 6–7 overall, the team was invited to play in the 2021 Hawaii Bowl, Hawaii Bowl as a conditionally-eligible team after the NCAA added an 2021 Frisco Football Classic, extra bowl game to the schedule. The team accepted the bid on December 3, 2021, marking the team's fourth consecutive postseason appearance, a new program record. Todd Graham
Michael Todd Graham (born December 5, 1964) is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the head football coach at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (2020–2021). Graham has served as the head football coach at Rice University (2006), the University of Tulsa (2007–2010), the University of Pittsburgh (2011), and Arizona State University (2012–2017). Playing career Graham was an all-district defensive back at North Mesquite High School, from which he graduated in 1983. He then went on to play at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, where he was a two-time All- NAIA defensive back. After graduation from East Central, Graham briefly signed with the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL in 1987.
