2021 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament
The 2021 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament was a List A cricket competition that was played in Kandahar, Afghanistan between 15 and 29 October 2021. It was the fifth edition of the competition played with List A status, following the announcements by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in February and May 2017. Mis Ainak Region were the defending champions. After the completion of group stage, Amo Region beat Band-e-Amir Region in the first semi-final. Mis Ainak Region qualified for the final, having more points than Boost Region on the table after the second semi-final was tied. On 29 October 2021, the defending champions Mis Ainak Region successfully retained their title after they beat the Amo Region in the final, winning the title for the third consecutive time. Afghanistan Cricket Board
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB; ps, د افغانستان کرکټ بورډ, fa, کرکت بورد افغانستان; formerly Afghanistan Cricket Federation) is the official governing body of cricket in the Afghanistan. It is Afghanistan's representative at the International Cricket Council (ICC) and was an associate member of ICC from June 2013 until becoming a full member in June 2017. Kandahar International Cricket Stadium
Kandahar International Cricket Stadium ( ps, د کندهار نړيوال کريکټ لوبغالی) is a cricket stadium in Kandahar, Afghanistan. It is currently under construction. The stadium is built on 44 acres of land in the heart of Aino Meyna, a new suburb of Kandahar. The land was donated by Mahmood Karzai to the Afghanistan Cricket Board in 2012. In August 2014, the Government of India approved the grant of $1 million for the construction of the stadium under the Small Development Project Scheme. Construction of the stadium was delayed for two years but has resumed in early 2016, and is expected to be completed before the summer of 2017. As of October 17, 2016, about 70% of the construction work has been completed. It is expected that once the stadium opens, cricket will become more popular in southern Afghanistan. Sediqullah Atal (born 12 August 2001) is an Afghan cricketer. He is an opening batter, who made his international debut for Afghanistan in 2023.
