2021 Georgia Southern Eagles Baseball Team
The 2021 Georgia Southern Eagles baseball team represented Georgia Southern Eagles during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Eagles played their home games at J. I. Clements Stadium and were led by twenty-first year head coach Rodney Hennon. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference. Rodney Hennon
Rodney Hennon (born November 11, 1969) is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Georgia Southern Eagles baseball team. He has held that position since the 2000 season. He played at Western Carolina, where he earned All-Conference honors and helped the team to two NCAA Regional appearances. He played professionally for one season with the Kentucky Rifles before turning to coaching. He served as an assistant coach at Western Carolina for four years before ascending to the top job. After two seasons, he moved to Georgia Southern. In his first two seasons with the Eagles he was named Southern Conference Baseball Coach of the Year. McDonough, Georgia
McDonough is a city in Henry County, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Its population was 22,084 at the 2010 census, up from 8,493 in 2000. 2021 Tennessee Volunteers Baseball Team
The 2021 Tennessee Volunteers baseball team represented the University of Tennessee during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. Tennessee competed in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Volunteers play their home games at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Coach Tony Vitello lead the Volunteers in his 4th season with the program. Tennessee reached the College World Series for the first time since 2005, but were eliminated in two games. The Volunteers finished the season with a 50–18 record. Previous season The 2020 Tennessee Volunteers baseball team notched a 15–2 (0–0) regular season record. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Catcher
Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. When a Batter (baseball), batter takes their at bat, turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home plate, home) Umpire (baseball), umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. Chase Dollander
Tyler Chase Dollander (born October 26, 2001) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization. He previously played college baseball for the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Southern Eagles. Early life Tyler Chase Dollander was born on October 26, 2001, in Evans, Georgia. He attended Greenbrier High School in Evans where he played baseball. In 2018, his sophomore season, he went 5–3 with a 2.36 ERA. As a junior in 2019, he went 6–1 with a 0.79 ERA and 71 strikeouts over innings.
