2021 Gent–Wevelgem
The 2021 Gent–Wevelgem was a road cycling classic race that took place on 28 March 2021 in Belgium. It was the 83rd edition of Gent–Wevelgem and the 10th event of the 2021 UCI World Tour. Teams Twenty-five teams were invited to the race, including all nineteen UCI WorldTeams and six UCI ProTeams. The evening before the race, the team of defending champion Mads Pedersen withdrew, following two positive tests for COVID-19. In addition, have also been prevented from starting, due to COVID-19 guidelines in Belgium. and , with six riders each, were the only teams to not enter seven riders. 2021 UCI World Tour
The 2021 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included twenty-nine road cycling events throughout the 2021 cycling season. The tour started with the opening stage of the UAE Tour on 21 February, and concluded with Il Lombardia on 9 October. Events The 2021 calendar was announced in the autumn of 2020. Cancelled events Due to COVID-19-related logistical concerns raised by teams regarding travel to Australia (including strict quarantine requirements), the Tour Down Under (19–24 January) and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (31 January) were cancelled. Nathan Van Hooydonck (born 12 October 1995) is a Belgian former road cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2017 to 2023 for and . Career In August 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Vuelta a España. In 2021 he entered his second edition of the Vuelta, his first riding for Team Jumbo-Visma.
