2021 Four National Figure Skating Championships
The 2021 Four Nationals Figure Skating Championships were held from 10 to 12 December 2020 in Cieszyn, Poland. It served as the national championships for the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia; traditionally, Hungary has also participated. Hungary not participated in this year, but organized an own National Championship at Budapest from 18 to 18 December. The three highest-placing skaters from each country formed their national podiums, after the competition results were split. Medals were awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance on the senior and junior levels. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several skaters training abroad competed virtually via video submissions. Elżbieta Gabryszak ( ; born 6 August 1998) is a Polish figure skater. She is the 2017 Crystal Skate of Romania champion, the 2019 Open d'Andorra silver medalist, the 2018 Warsaw Cup bronze medalist, and a two-time Polish national champion (2017, 2018). Personal life Gabryszak was born on 6 August 1998 in Tychy. Career Early years Gabryszak began learning to skate in 2003. Coached by Iwona Mydlarz-Chruścińska, she made her junior international debut in November 2012. Jiří Bělohradský (born 20 January 1999) is a Czech competitive figure skater. He is the 2015 Merano Cup bronze medalist and two-time Czech national champion. He has qualified for the free skate at three ISU Championships. Personal life Jiří Bělohradský was born on 20 January 1999 in Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic. He is the older brother of Czech figure skater Matyáš Bělohradský. Career Bělohradský's ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut came in the 2014–15 season; he placed 14th in Ljubljana, Slovenia in late August 2014 and 18th in Zagreb, Croatia in October. Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. It joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976. Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man".
