2021 FIM Endurance World Championship
The 2021 FIM Endurance World Championship (FIM EWC) was the 42nd season of the FIM Endurance World Championship, a motorcycle racing series co-organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and Eurosport Events. Calendar The 2021 championship was scheduled to consists of 5 races in Europe and Asia. The calendar was released on 29 December 2020. On 17 March 2021; the calendar was updated and the races of 12 Hours of Estoril and Suzuka 8 Hours swapped their places in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the season began on the 17 April with the 24 Hours Moto in France, and was scheduled to end on the 7 November with the Suzuka 8 Hours in Japan. The Circuit Paul Ricard () is a French motorsport race track built in 1969 at Le Castellet, Var, near Marseille, with finance from pastis magnate Paul Ricard. Ricard wanted to experience the challenge of building a racetrack. The circuit has hosted the FIA Formula One French Grand Prix intermittently from to , and every year from to as well as from to . Sylvain Guintoli
Sylvain Guintoli (born 24 June 1982 in Montélimar) is a French professional motorcycle racer. He was FIM World Superbike Champion in 2014. He is contracted to the Suzuki MotoGP team as a test rider with occasional race entries, as a wild card or replacement rider. In 2017, he competed in the British Superbike Championship with the new Suzuki GSX-R1000. He spent the early years of his career in 250cc Grand-Prix World Championship on private bikes. He was a 500cc 2 stroke test rider for Yamaha and made a single MotoGP start in 2002. Best MotoGP rookie in 2007 for Yamaha, he raced for Ducati MotoGP in 2008. After a serious leg injury in 2009, he recovered and became World Superbike Champion in 2014 for Aprilia. Xavier Siméon
Xavier Siméon (born 31 August 1989) is a Grand Prix motorcycle racer from Belgium, competing in the MotoE World Cup. He is the winner of the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 Championship and the 2006 European Superstock 600 Championship and the winner of the 2021 24 Hours Moto of Le Mans endurance race on Suzuki together with Sylvain Guintoli and Gregg Black. At the 2013 French Grand Prix, Siméon became the first Belgian rider since Didier de Radiguès in to take a podium finish, when he finished third behind Marc VDS Racing Team riders Scott Redding and Mika Kallio. Later in the season, Siméon took pole position for the German Grand Prix, the first such result for a Belgian since de Radiguès in . Suzuka International Racing Course
The , more famously known as the , is a long motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co, Ltd. It has a capacity of 155,000. Introduction Soichiro Honda decided to develop a new permanent circuit in Mie prefecture in the late 1950s.
