The 2021 FA Trophy Final was a football match played on 22 May 2021. It was the final match of the 2020–21 FA Trophy, the 52nd season of the FA Trophy. Hornchurch’s season in the Isthmian League Premier Division was suspended in November 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and they were unable to play any league football. During this time they were financially supported by West Ham United chairman, David Sullivan who once lived in Hornchurch. 2020–21 FA Trophy
The 2020–21 FA Trophy (known for sponsorship reasons as the Buildbase FA Trophy) was the 52nd season of the FA Trophy, an annual football competition for teams at levels 5-8 of the English National League System. In a change in format from previous years, the competition consisted of three qualifying rounds, and seven proper rounds. Teams from level 8 entered into the first and second qualifying rounds, level 7 into the third qualifying round, level 6 (the National League North and National League South) into round 2, and level 5 (the National League) into round 3. All matches were in a single-match knockout format, with the winner decided by penalties if the match was drawn after 90 minutes, apart from the Final where the winner was decided by extra-time and penalties if the match was drawn. Edgar Street is a football stadium in Hereford and was the home of Hereford United Football Club from the club's formation in 1924 until December 2014, when the club was wound up. It is now the home of Hereford FC, a phoenix club formed to replace the former club. Mohamed Abdelkadir Bettamer (born 1 April 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre forward for Concord Rangers on loan from Hayes & Yeading United. Ricky Howard Miller (born 13 March 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Risborough Rangers. Miller spent time in the youth systems at Charlton Athletic and Woking, before making his senior debut with Stamford in September 2006.
