2021 European Rugby Champions Cup Final
The 2021 European Rugby Champions Cup Final was the final match in the 2020–21 European Rugby Champions Cup, and the twenty-sixth European club rugby final in general. The final was between French teams La Rochelle and Toulouse. Background English referee Luke Pearce was officiating a Champions Cup final for the first time. Aged 33, he was the youngest referee to officiate at the final. A maximum of 10,000 fans were allowed to attend the final at Twickenham. La Rochelle were appearing in their first final, with Toulouse appearing in the final for the seventh time, winning on four occasions in 1996, 2003, 2005, and 2010. 2020–21 European Rugby Champions Cup
The 2020–21 European Rugby Champions Cup (known as the Heineken Champions Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of the European Rugby Champions Cup, the annual club rugby union competition run by European Professional Club Rugby (ECPR) for teams from the top six nations in European rugby. It was the 26th season of pan-European professional club rugby competition. The tournament began on 11 December 2020. The final, originally scheduled to be held at the Stade de Marseille, took place on 22 May 2021 at Twickenham Stadium. On 11 January 2021, EPCR suspended the tournament as a result of further public health restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A revised format was announced on 24 February 2021. Dillyn Yullrich Leyds (born 12 September 1992 in Somerset West, South Africa) is a South African rugby union player for the South Africa national team and Stade Rochelais in the French Top 14. Victor Vasefanua Junior Vito (born 27 March 1987) is a New Zealand former rugby player and All Black who last played blindside flanker for French team La Rochelle.
