2021 Chicago Fall Tennis Classic
The 2021 Chicago Fall Tennis Classic was a WTA tournament organised for female professional tennis players on outdoor hard courts due to the cancellation of the Asian tournaments because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Elise Mertens
Elise Mertens (; born 17 November 1995) is a Belgian professional tennis player. She is a former world No. 1 in doubles. Mertens is a three-time Grand Slam champion in doubles, having won the 2019 US Open and 2021 Australian Open partnering Aryna Sabalenka, and the 2021 Wimbledon Championships with Hsieh Su-wei. Mertens also finished runner-up at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships with Zhang Shuai. Lizette Faith Cabrera (born 19 December 1997) is an Australian tennis player of Filipino descent. She has a career-high singles ranking of No. 119, achieved on 3 February 2020. Kim Antonie Lode Clijsters (; born 8 June 1983) is a Belgian former professional tennis player. Clijsters reached the world No. 1 ranking in both singles and doubles, having held both rankings simultaneously in 2003. She won six major titles, four in singles and two in doubles.
