2021 Brunei Super League
The 2021 Brunei Super League is the seventh season of the Brunei Super League, the top Bruneian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. The season began on 20 June. On 7 August, the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) announced the suspension of the league due to restrictions reimposed by the presence of local COVID-19 infections announced by the Ministry of Health on the same day. On 30 November, the FABD announced that the league will be abandoned due to the constraints caused by the pandemic, in order to prepare for a new competition to be held the following year. Brunei Super League
The Brunei Super League (''Liga Super Brunei'' in Malay) is a Bruneian professional league for association football. It is at the top flight of the Bruneian football league system and it is managed by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD). The clubs participating in this top flight league need to pass a set of requirements and verification process, particularly related to professionalism and infrastructure feasibility. The championship winner will receive B$14,000 ($10,000 USD) as prize money, as well as being eligible for the AFC Cup as Brunei's representative, provided that the club conforms to AFC's Club Licence criteria. The runners-up will get B$10,000 ($7,000 USD) while the top scorer will get B$400 ($290 USD). Jerudong FC
Jerudong Football Club () is a Bruneian football club that plays in the Brunei Super League. With almost 30 years of service, the club has experienced its fair share of highs and lows while competing in the various leagues. Baharin Hamidon
Sergeant Mohammad Baharin bin Hamidon (born 8 November 1987) is a Bruneian footballer who last played for Bruneian league champions MS ABDB as a midfielder. Club career From 2008 to 2021, Baharin played at the highest division in Bruneian football for the football team of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces' sports club, MS ABDB. He has won four league titles, six FA Cups and two Super Cups with the Armymen. Baharin scored in the final of the 2014–15 FA Cup and repeated his feat in 2016. Youssef Joshua Safri ( ar, يوسف سفري, born 3 January 1977) is a Moroccan retired footballer who currently is coach for Qatar SC. Club career Safri started his youth career at Rachad Bernoussi. The following year, he was promoted to the senior squad. He was a midfielder best known for his passing and tackling ability. Adi bin Said (born 15 October 1990) is a Bruneian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Brunei Super League club Kasuka FC and the Brunei national football team. Club career Early career and rise at DPMM FC Adi began his footballing career with Manggis United, coached by former Brunei forward Majidi Ghani. He joined newly-promoted Majra FC in 2007 and played for them in the Brunei Premier League until 2012, when his exploits on the international scene attracted Brunei's sole professional club DPMM FC to sign him for the 2012 S.League season. Mohamad Syarafuddin Hamdi bin Haji Talip (born 8 October 1987) is a Bruneian former Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), defender. He is currently with the futsal team of Kota Ranger FC. Kota Ranger Football Club (; abbrev: KRFC), formerly Perkota, is a Bruneian football club, playing in the Brunei Super League. Kuala Belait Football Club (; abbrev: KB FC) is a football team based in Kuala Belait, Brunei. History The KB FC club has created a winning record in the competition since the Belait District Football Association established the Belait District League in 2019. Sairol Sahari
Sairol bin Haji Sahari (born 9 April 1983) is a Bruneian retired footballer who played as a defender. He is currently an assistant coach at Kasuka FC. Club career Sairol began his career as a young left-sided midfielder for the Brunei team which played in the Malaysian league system. After leaving the country's representative side in 2004, he helped NBT FC gain promotion to the domestic top flight, serving as captain. He moved to DPMM FC in 2006 when the club had entered the Malaysia Premier League in Brunei FA's place. He was sent on loan to Indera SC in 2010 while DPMM was prevented from playing in the S.League due to a FIFA suspension of Brunei.
