2020–21 Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20 Competition
The 2020–21 Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20 Competition was a Twenty20 cricket tournament that was played in Zimbabwe during April 2021. Five teams took part in the competition, with two matches being played each day. Due to a logistical challenge, the opening day match between Tuskers and Rhinos was moved back to 15 April, with the play-off and final being moved back one day as a result. The Matabeleland Tuskers won the last domestic T20 tournament to be played in Zimbabwe, during the 2018–19 season. Following the conclusion of the group stage, Tuskers and Eagles qualified for the final of the tournament. Zimbabwe Cricket
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. It also organises domestic cricket, including the Castle Logan Cup, the Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship and the Stanbic Bank 20 Series in Zimbabwe. Harare Sports Club
Harare Sports Club is a sports club and the Harare Sports Club Ground is a cricket stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe. Founded in 1900 and known as Salisbury Sports Club until 1982, it is mostly used for cricket matches, and has served as the primary cricket venue in Rhodesia and Zimbabwe since its foundation. Other sports played at the club are rugby, tennis, golf and squash. History The earliest recorded first-class cricket match at Salisbury Sports Club was played in 1910. Tadiwanashe Marumani (born 2 January 2002) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in April 2021. Roy Kaia
Roy Kaia (born 10 October 1991) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He plays first-class cricket for Mountaineers. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in May 2015. Domestic career Kaia was part of the 2010 Zimbabwe U19 team that lost to the South Africa U19 team. He took 4 wickets for 49. He was also in the losing side against the same side a few months later in 2011 scoring 60 not out off 56 balls in a T20 match. Ryan Burl
Ryan Ponsonby Burl (born 15 April 1994) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who plays for the national side. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe in February 2017. Early life He quit his university education in Southampton and also sacrificed his county cricket commitments as he decided to play first-class cricket in Zimbabwe. Forster Mutizwa (born 24 August 1985) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. He played as a lower middle-order batsman and wicket-keeper. Regis Wiriranai Chakabva (born 20 September 1987) is a Zimbabwean cricketer and vice-captain of the team in all formats of the game. He is a right-handed wicket-keeper batter. He played through school-level cricket and started making his mark as a good batter with sound wicket-keeping abilities. He got picked to play for Zimbabwe. Tapiwa Mufudza
Tapiwa Mufudza (born 20 September 1990) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. Mufudza has been an off-spinner since he took up the game at Mbizi Primary School in Highfield, Harare. He played for the Takashinga Cricket Club in Harare before being recruited by Mountaineers. He played his first matches for Mountaineers in 2011–12, and established himself in the side in 2012–13, when he took 13 wickets at an average of 14.92 to lead the national first-class bowling averages.
