2020–21 Vanderbilt Commodores Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team represented Vanderbilt University during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by second-year head coach Jerry Stackhouse, and played their home games at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tennessee as a member of the Southeastern Conference. In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Commodores finished the season 9–16, 3–13 in SEC play to finish in last place. They defeated Texas A&M in the firs round of the SEC tournament, but lost to Florida in the second round. Jerry Stackhouse
Jerry Darnell Stackhouse (born November 5, 1974) is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores men's team. He played 18 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and was a two-time NBA All-Star. He formerly was the head coach of Raptors 905 and an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies. Additionally, he has worked as an NBA TV analyst. Stackhouse played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Early career Stackhouse was a premier player from the time he was a sophomore in high school. He was the state player of the year for North Carolina in 1991–92, leading Kinston (N.C) High School to the state finals. Saben Anthonia Lee (born June 23, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract. He played college basketball for the Vanderbilt Commodores and was selected in the second round of the 2020 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz before being subsequently traded to the Detroit Pistons. He has also played for the Philadelphia 76ers. Early life and high school career Lee grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona. Aaron Joshua Nesmith (born October 16, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Early life and high school career Nesmith attended Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, South Carolina beginning in the fifth grade and was first called up to the varsity basketball team as an eighth-grader. The George Washington Colonials men's basketball team represents George Washington University in the United States' capital, Washington, D.C. It plays its home games in the Charles E.
