2020–21 UNC Wilmington Seahawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina Wilmington during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seahawks was led by Takayo Siddle, who took over from C.B. McGrath when he was fired by UNCW in January 2020. They played their home games at Trask Coliseum as part of the Colonial Athletic Association. Previous season The Seahawks finished the 2019–20 season with a 10–22 record and 5–13 in conference play. They were eliminated in the first round of the 2020 CAA men's basketball tournament when they lost to the Drexel Dragons. Takayo Siddle
Takayo Lemont Siddle (born May 25, 1986) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team. Playing career Siddle was a basketball standout at John Motley Morehead High School in Eden, North Carolina, averaging 27.0 points, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game as a senior. He attended Hargrave Military Academy in 2004–05 and helped the team reach the prep school championship game. Siddle played college basketball at Gardner–Webb under Rick Scruggs. As a sophomore, Siddle averaged 8.6 points per game. In his junior season, Siddle scored eight points in a 84–68 Runnin' Bulldogs win at Rupp Arena vs. 20th-ranked Kentucky to advance to the final four of the 2007 2K Sports College Hoops Classic in Madison Square Garden. Florida Gators Men's Basketball
The Florida Gators men's basketball team represents the University of Florida in the sport of basketball. The Gators compete in NCAA Division I's Southeastern Conference (SEC). Home games are played in the O'Connell Center, Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus. While the University of Florida's men's basketball team first took the court in 1915, the program did not receive much support from the university for several decades.
