2020–21 Sydney FC Season
The 2020–21 Sydney FC season is the club's 16th season since its establishment in 2004. The club will participate in the A-League for the 16th time. The club will not compete in the 2020 FFA Cup due to the event being cancelled following the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. The club was scheduled to play in the 2021 AFC Champions League in Uzbekistan from 25 June 2021 to 10 July 2021, but withdrew from the competition on 4 June 2021. Sydney Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Sydney, New South Wales. It competes in the country's premier men's competition, A-League Men, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The 2021–22 Sydney FC season is the club's 17th season since its establishment in 2004. The club is participating in the A-League for the 17th time and the FFA Cup for the seventh time. Paulo Retre (born 4 March 1993) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Indian Super League club Goa. Early life His father, Carlos, played in the Australian National Soccer League (NSL) for Footscray JUST. Michael Zullo
Michael Zullo (born 11 September 1988) is an Australian professional footballer who last played as a left-back for Sydney FC of the A-League. Club career After being signed by the former Brisbane Roar coach Frank Farina on a two-year contract, Zullo played five of the six opening games of the season, coming on as a substitute. Alexander Baumjohann (born 23 January 1987) is a German footballer most recently played for Sydney FC as an attacking midfielder. Alexander William Wilkinson (born 13 August 1984) is an Australian international football (soccer) player who plays as a central defender and is the captain for Sydney FC in the A-League. Wilkinson was born in Sydney and made his senior debut for Northern Spirit in 2002.
