The 2020–21 season is Swindon Town F.C., Swindon Town's 142nd season in their history and their first season back in EFL League One, League One after being promoted as League Two champions following the 2019–20 EFL League Two, 2019–20 season. Along with League One, the club also participates in the FA Cup, EFL Trophy and the EFL Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2020 through to 30 June 2021. Jonathan Martin Grounds (born 2 February 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left back or centre back for club Exeter City. Grounds began his career with his local club, Middlesbrough, but never became a regular member of the first team; he made 33 league appearances spread across five years. Joseph Luke Fryer (born 14 November 1995) is a retired English professional footballer who most recently played for Swindon Town as a goalkeeper. Akinwale Joseph Odimayo (born 28 November 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Northampton Town. Career Odimayo began his career with Reading, turning professional in July 2018, and making his senior debut for the club on 27 August 2019 in the EFL Cup.
