2020–21 Sheffield Shield Season
The 2020–21 Sheffield Shield season was the 119th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition in Australia. On 26 June 2020, Cricket Australia confirmed all the squads for the 2020–21 domestic cricket season. Cricket Australia also confirmed that the tournament would use the Kookaburra ball for all the matches, after using the Duke ball since the 2016–17 season. New South Wales were the defending champions. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the first four rounds of the season are being played at four venues in Adelaide. With further restrictions due to the pandemic in Australia, the first round match between New South Wales and Victoria was scheduled to take place from 17 November 2020, because of extra measures for people travelling into South Australia from Victoria. Will Pucovski
William Jan Pucovski (born 2 February 1998) is an Australian cricketer. He made his List A debut for Cricket Australia XI against Pakistan during their tour of Australia on 10 January 2017. He made his first-class debut for Victoria in the 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season on 1 February 2017. Pucovski made his international debut for the Australia cricket team on 7 January 2021, in the third Test match of the series against India. Early life Pucovski was born in Malvern, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. His father, Ján Pucovski, who emigrated to Australia as a child from Serbia, has Czechoslovakian roots. Chadd Sayers
Chadd James Sayers (born 31 August 1987) is a former Australian cricketer from South Australia. After spending several years in the South Australian Grade Cricket League as one of the best pace bowlers in the state, Sayers began playing first-class cricket for South Australia in the Sheffield Shield in 2011. He played matches for Australia A from 2013, and played his only Test for Australia in the final Test of the 2017–18 tour of South Africa at Johannesburg, after years of near misses. Sayers is a swing bowler who bowls with slower pace than most other bowlers in the modern era. Shaun Edward Marsh (born 9 July 1983) is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Western Australia cricket team in Australian domestic cricket and has represented Australia in all three formats. Ashton Charles Agar (born 14 October 1993) is an Australian cricketer who has played all forms of the game at international level. Agar plays domestically for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. Jake Weatherald (born 4 November 1994) is an Australian cricketer. Originally from Darwin in the Northern Territory, he is an opening batsman who plays for South Australia in both first-class and one-day cricket and plays for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League. Lloyd Pope (born 1 December 1999) is an Australian cricketer who currently represents South Australia. In August 2017, he was offered a rookie contract with South Australia. Not Out
In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Joshua Patrick Inglis (born 4 March 1995) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. Inglis was born in Leeds, England, and moved to Australia with his family when he was 14. The 1990–91 Sheffield Shield season was the 89th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition of Australia. Victoria won the championship. Table Final The last time the two teams played, New South Wales defeated Victoria. A number of players from both sides were unavailable as they were touring with the Australian side in the West Indies, including Mark and Steve Waugh, Mark Taylor, Mike Whitney, Peter Taylor, Greg Matthews, Merv Hughes and Dean Jones. Western Australia Cricket Team
The Western Australian Men’s cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket.
