Scunthorpe () is an industrial town and unparished area in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire in Lincolnshire, England of which it is the main administrative centre. Scunthorpe had an estimated total population of 82,334 in 2016. A predominantly industrial town, the town is the United Kingdom's largest steel processing centre and is also known as the "Industrial Garden Town". It is the third largest settlement in Lincolnshire, after Lincoln and Grimsby. The Member of Parliament for Scunthorpe is Conservative politician Holly Mumby-Croft. Mark Stephen Howard (born 21 September 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Wrexham. Born in Southwark, London, Howard was part of Arsenal's youth team, but having failed to make the step up to the senior squad he departed for Cardiff City. He moved to Scotland, with spells at St Mirren and Aberdeen, before moving back to England to play for Blackpool, Sheffield United (for whom he holds the club's consecutive clean-sheet record of eight games) and Bolton Wanderers. Manny Onariase
Osaore Emmanuel Onariase (born 21 October 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a central defender for club Hartlepool United. Born in Croydon, Onarise came through the ranks at West Ham United, signing his first professional contract in April 2015. He subsequently joined Brentford in 2016. After a loan spell with Cheltenham Town, Onarise left Brentford and joined Rotherham United. Further loan spells came with Cheltenham Town and Dagenham & Redbridge. Harrison McGahey (born 26 September 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Oldham Athletic. McGahey began his career as a junior with Blackburn Rovers and then Liverpool, before moving to Blackpool where he eventually made his first team debut. George William Taft (born 29 July 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for club Worksop Town.
