2020–21 Saint Peter's Peacocks Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Saint Peter's Peacocks men's basketball team represented Saint Peter's University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Peacocks were led by third-year head coach Shaheen Holloway. Due to renovations at their regular home arena, Yanitelli Center, they played their home games at John J. Moore Athletics Center, on the campus of New Jersey City University, as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 14–11, 10–8 in 2020–21 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men's basketball season, MAAC play to finish in a tie for third place. As the No. 3 seed in the 2021 MAAC men's basketball tournament, MAAC tournament, they defeated No. 11 seed 2020–21 Rider Broncs men's basketball team, Rider in the quarterfinals, and then lost to No. 7 seed 2020–21 Fairfield Stags men's basketball team, Fairfield 47–52 in the semifinals. Shaheen Holloway
Shaheen Holloway (born October 7, 1976) is an American men's basketball coach and former player who is the coach for the Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball, Seton Hall Pirates. He played college basketball at Seton Hall from 1996 to 2000. A point guard, Holloway played professionally for seven seasons. He served as the head coach for the Saint Peter's Peacocks men's basketball, Saint Peter's Peacocks from 2018 to 2022, where he led the 15th seed Peacocks to the Elite Eight in the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
