Russian Professional Football League
The Russian Second League (russian: Первенство России II дивизиона ФНЛ), formerly Russian Professional Football League is the third level of Russian professional football. History In 1998–2010, it was run by the Professional Football League. The 2011–12 season was run by the Department of Professional Football of the Russian Football Union (russian: Департамент профессионального футбола Российского футбольного союза (ДПФ РФС), Departament professional'nogo futbola Rossijskogo futbol'nogo soyuza (DPF RFS)). From 2013 to 2021 season the league was again run by the Professional Football League and the name Second Division was no longer used, the league was just called PFL. FC Mashuk-KMV Pyatigorsk
FC Mashuk-KMV Pyatigorsk (russian: Кавминводский Фонд ФК «Машук-КМВ») is a Russian football club based in Pyatigorsk. The club plays in the FNL 2. History The history of Mashuk-KMV dates back to the 1920s and the team named Dynamo. The team was known under different names: *Dynamo until 1965 *Mashinostroitel in 1966–1967 *Mashuk in 1968–1993 and 1998–2002 *Energia in 1994–1997 *Mashuk-KMV since 2003 Dynamo played in the Soviet League in its first year in 1936, but would not participate in the national competition again until 1966, when the team was renamed Mashinostroitel. After three seasons the team won promotion to the Class A, Group 2. However, Mashuk were not very successful at that level and played in the Second League from the reform of Soviet football in 1971 to 1990, when they were relegated to the Second League B. FC Dynamo-2 Moscow
FC Dynamo-2 Moscow (russian: «Динамо-2» (Москва)) is a Russian association football, football team from Moscow. It is the farm-club for FC Dynamo Moscow. History In 2016, it was revived after the parent club, Dynamo, was relegated from the Russian Football Premier League (which holds its own competition for the Under-21 teams of the Premier League clubs) and licensed to play in the third-tier Russian Professional Football League for the 2016–17 season. Majority of the squad participated in the 2016–17 UEFA Youth League as well. On 17 June 2017, the parent club announced that, following Dynamo's return to the Premier League, the reserves squad will now again play in the youth tournament conducted by the Premier League, and the separate professional Dynamo-2 squad is therefore dissolved. FC Tver
FC Tver (russian: link=no, ФК «Тверь») is an association football club from Tver, Russia, firstly founded in 1908 as FC Volga Tver. It has played professionally in 1937, 1949, 1953 to 1956, 1958 to 1999, 2004 to 2017, and from 2020. In 1992–1995, the club was called Trion-Volga Tver. It played on the second-highest level (Soviet First League and Russian First Division) in 1957 to 1962, 1964 to 1969 and 1992. Another Tver team, Spartak Tver, existed from 1937 to 1957 and played in the Soviet First League in 1949 and from 1953 to 1956. The club was dissolved at the end of the 2016–17 season due to lack of financing. In April 2020, the club was reestablished as professional football club named FC Tver, with financial support from Tver Oblast, and FC Arsenal Tula. FC Zenit-2 Saint Petersburg (russian: ФК «Зенит-2» Санкт-Петербург) is a Russian association football, football team from Saint Petersburg. It plays in the Russian Football National League 2, FNL 2 (third level). It is a farm club for the Russian Premier League team FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. History Zenit's reserve squad played professionally as Zenit-2 (Russian Second League in 1993, Russian Second Division from 1998 to 2000) and Zenit-d (Russian Third League from 1994 to 1997). FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny (russian: ФК «Олимп-Долгопрудный») was a professional association football club from Dolgoprudny, Russia. It made its debut in the second-highest Russian Football National League in the 2021–22 season and was denied license by the Russian Football Union at the end of that season. It began competing in the third-tier Russian Professional Football League in the 2012–13 season.
