The 2020–21 Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol season was the club's 86th season in existence and the club's first season back in the second division of Spanish football. In addition to the domestic league, Espanyol participated in this season's edition of the Copa del Rey. The season covered the period from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona (; "Royal Spanish Sports Club of Barcelona"), commonly known as Espanyol, is a professional sports club based in Barcelona, Spain, that competes in La Liga, the top tier of the Spanish football league system. Fernando Calero
Fernando Calero Villa (born 14 September 1995) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for RCD Espanyol as a central defender. Club career Malaga Calero was born in boecillo, Valladolid, Castile and León, and finished his formation with Málaga CF. He made his senior debut with the reserves on 9 March 2014, starting in a 2–1 Tercera División home win against Loja CD. Calero scored his first senior goal on 31 January 2015, netting the first in a 2–2 away draw against UD Maracena. Real Club Celta de Vigo (; ), commonly known as Celta de Vigo or simply Celta, is a Spanish professional football club based in Vigo, Galicia, that competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football. Álvaro Vadillo Cifuentes (born 12 September 1994) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Racing de Ferrol. Club career Betis Vadillo was born in Puerto Real, Province of Cádiz, and joined Real Betis' youth system at the age of 12. Landry Dimata
Landry Nany Dimata (born 1 September 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Turkish club Samsunspor. Born in the DR Congo, he is a youth international for Belgium. Club career Dimata played with Standard Liège as a junior. He joined Oostende in 2016. He made his Belgian Pro League debut on 4 August 2016 against Genk. Dídac Vilà Rosselló (; born 9 June 1989) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left-back. Sergi Darder Moll (born 22 December 1993) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club Mallorca.
