The 2020–21 Pau FC season was the club's 101st season in existence and the first season back in the second flight of French football. In addition to the domestic league, Pau participated in this season's edition of the Coupe de France. The season covered the period from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. Pau Football Club (, Bearnese ), known simply as Pau, is a French professional association football club based in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, capital of Béarn. They compete in Ligue 2, the second tier of French football. Pau FC were founded in 1920 as Bleuets de Notre-Dame de Pau, although their official founding date is in 1959, when Football Club de Pau were first formed. Bleuets de Notre-Dame joined the highest amateur league in France in 1958 after success in the French South-West League (Ligue du Sud-Ouest). However, the religious authorities argued that the football section had outgrown the rest of the club and financial support was withdrawn. As a consequence, José Bidegain, a local businessman, created the Football Club de Pau. Yankuba Jarju (born 20 August 1996) is a Gambian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Championnat National club Cholet. Club career Jarju started his career in his native Gambia, with Real Banjul, before spending a season with Génération Foot in Senegal. Roussillon, Vaucluse
Roussillon (; oc, Rossilhon) is a commune in the Vaucluse department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. In 2016 it had a population of 1,317. Roussillon lies within the borders of the Natural Regional Park of Luberon. In the French natural regional parks system, new economic activities may be developed only if they are sustainable. It is noted for its large ochre deposits found in the clay surrounding the village. Ochres are pigments ranging from yellow and orange to red. Fawzi Ouaamar (born 12 March 1993) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Pau FC. Club career A youth product of Monaco, Ouaamar was loaned in July 2014 to Arles-Avignon to gain more playing time. He made his full professional debut a few weeks later, in a 0–0 Ligue 2 draw against Ajaccio. Benjamin Bertrand (born 24 June 1992) is a French retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career Tours Bertrand went through various academies, including those of Real Sociedad, Girondins Bordeaux, and Tours FC. Football Club Lorient Bretagne Sud (; commonly referred to FC Lorient or simply Lorient) is a French association football club based in Lorient, Brittany.
