2020–21 Olimpia Milano Season
The 2019–20 season sees Olimpia Milano competing in both EuroLeague and Lega Basket Serie A. The first is the highest level of European basketball competitions, for which Milano has a license. Overview Olimpia Milano's 2020–2021 season is sponsored by AX Armani Exchange and it's the 88th consecutive season in the Serie A. It's also Ettore Messina's second year as the team's coach: in his first year Milano was struggling both in Euroleague and Serie A, but at the end due to the COVID-19 pandemic interruptions the team ended the season without any trophy. The new season starts under the best auspices with the Eurosport Supercup victory and 8 games won out of 8. Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano, commonly known as Olimpia Milano or as EA7 Emporio Armani Milan after its title sponsor, is an LBA Italian professional basketball team, based in Milan, Italy. Its colors are white and red, and the team is sometimes referred as "Scarpette Rosse" (Little Red Shoes) because team officials imported red Converse All-Star shoes for players from the United States. Pallacanestro Trieste 2004 is an Italian professional basketball club based in Trieste. They play in the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) since the 2018–19 season. The Allianz Dome serves as the club's home arena. History A number of Trieste teams had played in the first division Serie A, the most successful of which was Società Ginnastica Triestina (from the 1930s to the 1960s) that won several national championships in the 1930s and 1940s. 2021 EuroLeague Playoffs
The 2021 EuroLeague Playoffs, known as the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs for sponsorship purposes, was the first postseason portion of the 2020–21 EuroLeague basketball competition. They began on 20 April 2021 and were scheduled to be played through 5 May 2022. The top eight finishers in the regular season qualified for the playoffs, which consists of four series of two teams each, played in a best-of-five format. The winners of each of the playoffs series advanced to the Final Four, which determined the EuroLeague champion for the 2020–21 season.
